Press Release

Mackmyra teams up with The Summerton Club to bring their latest Limited Edition Swedish Single Malt Whisky to the UK

The Summerton Club will be introducing Mackmyra’s Limited Edition Gruvguld Swedish Single Malt Whisky to UK drinkers by sending the bottle out to members of their aged spirits subscription club in October.

Mackmyra Gruvguld (meaning Gold from the Mine) is a wonderfully smooth Swedish Single Malt Whisky, aged in a variety of small casks, including olorosso, bourbon, sherry and Swedish oak, 50m below ground in the Bodås mine.

The Summerton Club is an aged spirits subscription club, delivering a bottle a month to members’ doorsteps. Summerton Club members will be the only UK whisky drinkers able to get hold of Mackmyra Gruvguld without taking an international trip, as this expression is not sold in the UK, and as a limited edition bottling will soon be gone.

Daniel Humphrey, founder of The Summerton Club said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to share my favourite whisky with our members, who in my opinion will be drinking magnificence. I’m sure it will also put a smile on members’ faces to know they will be getting a bottle that none of their friends will be able to get hold of.”

Shane Pirie of Mackmyra UK said: “Teaming up with The Summerton Club has allowed us to bring something special to UK drinkers who really know their whisky. For those who haven’t tried Mackmyra before, I can’t think of a better place to start.”

New members can sign up until 19th October to receive the October Bottle of the Month, Mackmyra Gruvguld Single Malt Whisky, by visiting
