The Invergordon distillery which can be found nestled in the Highlands of Scotland and is considered by many to be one of the finest producers of grain whisky, founded back in 1959, production started a few years later in 1961 and although the distillery has changed hands a few times it is now under the wings of Whyte and Mackay. The distillery boasts a very impressive 36 million litres of alcohol produced per year from the 3 Coffey stills, which in turn produce an abv of 94% with a cask filling strength of 71% ..

Nose.. straight into a crunchie bar.. Soft hints of caramel popcorn along with honey drizzled over poached pears and apple crumble.. Bloody love a grain whisky and this one is certainly seducing me
Palate… Bloody classic invergordon.. Vanilla, caramel, honey and a little spicy attitude.. Chocolate and ginger biscuits dipped in coffee.. A touch of the wood for good measure…
Finish.. Gentle spices and a delicious sweetness
Thoughts.. Some whiskies just remind you of good times and this release is no exception.. This is full of wonderful aromas and flavours that just excite all the senses, those sweet shop notes that take you back to when you were a kid to the more sophisticated flavours that remind you of the finer things in life..
