Invergordon 24 Year Old 1996
Age.. 24 years
Cask.. Ex Bourbon
Nose.. straight into a crunchie bar.. Soft hints of caramel popcorn along with honey drizzled over poached pears and apple crumble.. Bloody love a grain whisky and this one is certainly seducing me
Palate… Bloody classic invergordon.. Vanilla, caramel, honey and a little spicy attitude.. Chocolate and ginger biscuits dipped in coffee.. A touch of the wood for good measure…
Finish.. Gentle spices and a delicious sweetness
Thoughts.. Some whiskies just remind you of good times and this release is no exception.. This is full of wonderful aromas and flavours that just excite all the senses, those sweet shop notes that take you back to when you were a kid to the more sophisticated flavours that remind you of the finer things in life..
